Jimmy

James H.   “Jimmy” Clarke, 76, of Mathews, Virginia went to his heavenly home on Friday, February 2, 2024. Jimmy enjoyed spending time with his family, watching NASCAR races, books, puzzles and old television shows. He went to the Lewis B. Puller Center for 40 years where he learned several trades and made many friends. He loved everyone and had a special place in his heart for little children. He was a beautiful soul and he touched the lives of many in his 76 years of life. The memories of his loving, gentle spirit will live on in the hearts of all of those who loved him.

Jimmy was preceded in death by his parents, Ertha Lee Clarke and Herbert Frances Clarke. 

He is survived by his sisters, Phyllis Smith and Judy West; brother, Wayne Clarke (Lynn); niece, Kimberly Hudgins (Edward) with whom he resided and was lovingly cared for in the last years of his life. He also leaves behind numerous nieces and nephews, who will forever cherish the moments they spent together.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, February 7, 2024 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Faulkner Funeral Homes, Foster-Faulkner Chapel, Mathews, Virginia. A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 8, 2024 at Cornerstone Fellowship Church, Cobbs Creek, Virginia. Interment will be at Providence Cemetery, Cardinal, Virginia.
