James E. "Tommy" Davis, Jr.

James E. “Tommy” Davis, Jr., 71, of Tappahannock, Virginia, passed away on Saturday October 19th, 2024. He was preceded in death by his parents, James E. Davis, Sr, and Audrey Elliott Davis; and his brother, Damon Davis. 

He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Peggy Davis; his daughter, Amanda Brooke Pickering (David); son, James E. “Bubba” Davis, III; sister, Dana Bryant; grandchildren, Ashbea Wade, Timothy Hardy, Katelyn Koscinski, Devin Pickering, Alexis Davis, Joseph Pickering, Makayla Davis, Aiden Pickering, Elijah Pickering, and one special grandson, Noah Pickering, who was the apple of his eye; and 14 great-grandchildren. 

A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 23rd, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. at Faulkner Funeral Homes, Marks-Bristow Chapel, Tappahannock, Virginia. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Mt. Zion Baptist Church Cemetery, Tappahannock
