James Ford

James Richard Ford, 90, of Hudgins, Virginia, passed away on Monday, March 5, 2018. He was born in Richmond, Virginia, and retired after over 30 years from VEPCO as a Boiler Operator. Upon retirement, James and his wife Cindy moved to Hudgins, Virginia. Before he started working at VEPCO, he served in the U.S. Army. He was a faithful member of Redeeming Grace Baptist Church, and served as a deacon and treasurer for many years.

James is survived by his wife of 42 years, Cindy B. Ford; two sisters, Alice Lee Owen and Ethel Lyons; niece, Brenda Hardison (Gary)

The funeral service will be held at Redeeming Grace Baptist Church, Hudgins, Virginia at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, March 8, 2018. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Burial will be held at H.C. Smithers Cemetery. A reception will follow after the burial at Redeeming Grace Baptist Church, Hudgins, Virginia. (8245 Buckley Hall Road, Hudgins, Virginia, 23076.)
