James Linthicum

August 10, 1935 — October 27, 2019

James O. Linthicum, 84, of Topping a retired Newport News Shipyard employee passed away on Sunday, October 27, 2019. He was a member of Harmony Grove Baptist Church, Topping and a life member of the Middlesex Volunteer Rescue Squad, Deltaville.

James was the widower of Lena G. Linthicum and was predeceased by a daughter Hope Hogge. He is survived by a daughter, Linda L. Green (Shannon), Grandsons, Andy Hogge and Adam Green; a great granddaughter, Madison; son-in-law, Dennis Hogge. James is also survived by his sisters, Edith Fitchett, Darlene Summorford (Rod) and a niece Annette Grant.

The family will receive friends from 12:30 until 1:30 P.M. Thursday, October 31st at Faulkner Funeral Homes, Bristow-Faulkner Chapel, Saluda followed by a 2 P.M. graveside service at the Rosemary Hill Cemetery, Topping. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts can be made to Harmony Grove Baptist Church, P.O. Box 138, Topping, VA 23169.
