James Simpson

James Stuart Simpson, 81, of Tappahannock passed away on Friday, May 7, 2021. He was a member of Tappahannock Memorial United Methodist Church and a retired Hostess Cake Vendor with 37 years’ service.

James is survived by his wife of 51 years Ruth Ann Simpson; two children, Carrie L. Simpson “Ladybug” of Locust Grove and Stuart Simpson (Mary Lou) of Fredericksburg; two grandsons, Michael Simpson (Courtney), A. J. Simpson (Ashlan) and two great-grandchildren, David and Bailey Simpson all of Dale City; sisters, Judy Collins of Columbia, MD and Jerry Glass.

A graveside service will be held 1:00 p.m. Thursday, May 13, 2021 in Essex Cemetery with the Reverend Barbara Jacobs officiating.
