James Stevens

James C. Stevens, Jr., 88, of Hardyville, Virginia passed away on Thursday, October 26, 2023. He retired from Naval Weapons Station in Yorktown, Virginia. He was a man who was a firm believer in hard work, which was something he instilled in his children while growing up. He was a husband who always appreciated the love of his life, Mrs. Elizabeth. His family of many grandchildren and great-grandchildren will miss their grandpa. But of his many achievements in life, his greatest was accepting Christ as his Savior. Dad has now been ushered into the presence of King Jesus. “Love you Dad”.

He is survived by his children, J.C. Stevens (Beth), Michael Stevens (Jeantte) and Shelia Musick; seven grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild.

A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, October 31, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at Gwynn’s Island Cemetery. Faulkner Funeral Homes, Foster-Faulkner Chapel, Mathews, Virginia is assisting the family.
