Srgt. Jason Scott Hudgins of the E Co 5-159 Aviation Regiment, 34 of Hartfield passed away Wednesday, November 12, 2014. Employed at Precision Fabrication of Gloucester and an active reservist for the United States Army, he was active duty in the Army for 4 years of which 18 month was served in Iraq with the 404th Aviation Support Battalion. Jason was born and raised in Mathews County.
Survivors include his wife Krista and son, Isaac, parents John Wayne and Diana Hudgins, paternal grandmother Ellen Hudgins, two brothers Mark and Jonathan, maternal grandparents Bob and Pat Talbert and a host of in laws, aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be Sunday from 2-4 p.m. at Foster-Faulkner Funeral Home in Mathews. Services will be held at Gwynn's Island Church of the Nazarene on Monday at 1p.m. Burial will be at St. Paul Annex and a reception follows at the church.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Jason's honor to the Wounded Warriors Foundation.
