Jennifer Hilton Vaughan, 57, of Tappahannock tragically passed away Tuesday, May 11, 2021. The world has lost someone who was truly loved by so many. Jennifer will be remembered for her radiant smile that lit up a room, her ability to make everyone laugh, her kind heart, her skills at fishing, practicing retail therapy, her love of animals but truly most of all for her love of family.
Jennifer created and owned the Crying Shame Frame Shop for 23 years. She was a member of St. John’s Episcopal Church. In addition to her husband, Chris, Jennifer is survived by her beloved dog Scarlett; three sisters Peggy Martin (Tom) of Richmond, Sandy Conley (Dennis) of Dunnsvlle and Allison Tegler (Paul) of Leesburg; her nieces and nephews Kendall Malecky (Patrick), Andrew Martin, Kyle Martin, Stephen Conley (Helen), Brian Conley (Gina), Kirstin Tegler and Sydney Tegler; seven great-nieces and nephews. Jennifer was preceded in death by her parents, Grace and Sydney Hilton a sister Leslie Ann Hilton as well as her beloved dogs Shame, Splash, Lennie and Strike.
Graveside services will be held 3:00 Saturday, May 15, 2021 in St. John’s Episcopal Church Cemetery, Tappahannock with the Reverend Dr. Candine E. Johnson officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. John’s Episcopal Church Building Fund, P O Box 336, Tappahannock, VA 22560 or the Essex Animal Shelter, P O Box 1079, Tappahannock, VA 22560.
