Jessica Lauren Shelton

Jessica Lauren Shelton, 36, of Gloucester passed away surrounded by her family on Thursday, May 9, 2024 at her home. She was born in Newport News, VA and was the daughter of Keith and Lisa Shelton.  She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents Gus and Carolyn Shelton, and maternal grandparents Patricia Jenkins and Billy Ronk.  She is survived by her parents, sister Jennifer Rowe (Ashley), nephews Riley and Tanner Rowe, aunt Tiffany Sterling (Barry), first cousin Carter Sterling and a host of great-aunts, uncles, and cousins. 

She was a graduate of Saint Leo University. After graduation she was the director of Stephenson’s Childcare. She loved all of the children like they were her own. More recently, she worked in the biology department at William and Mary, a job she truly loved. Most Friday nights she could be found at dinner with family and friends.  She loved her family fiercely and adored her nephews. She could often be found on the sidelines cheering them on during their soccer or basketball games. She enjoyed traveling, especially cruising. The holidays were her favorite for decorating, cooking, and spending time with family. She loved all things Disney, going to Disney World and was an avid collector of Wizard of Oz memorabilia. 

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, May 14^th from 5:00pm to 6:00pm at Faulkner Funeral Homes, Bristow-Faulkner Chapel, 15 C.F. Edwards Lane, Saluda, VA 23149 with a Celebration of Life service to begin at 6:00 p.m.
