John Richard Croxton, Jr. 70, of Topping, died Saturday, April 6, 2013 at his home. He was a contractor that owned and operated Middle Peninsula/Northern Neck Builders for many years. He was the President of Rappahannock Civic Club and past member of Moose Lodge 886 and the American Legion. He is survived by his wife Joyce T. Croxton, children Penney Baldoni, Candi Millen, John Richard Croxton, III and Anthony Croxton; brothers, Michael Croxton, James Croxton, and Richard Croxton; stepchildren Phillip White, John Thomas and Angela Berry; four grandchildren and six step-grandchildren; step-mother, Mariam Miller and half Sister Brenda Cummins. He was preceded in death by his father John R. Croxton, Sr., mother Geneva Elks, sisters Julie Adams and Debbie Kirkland and brother Melvin Croxton. A gathering for the celebration of John’s life will be held on Sunday April 14, 2013 at 2 p.m. at the Rappahannock Civic Club, Route 33, Harmony Village.
