John Dracos

John A. Dracos, Sr., 81, of Topping, VA, previously of Richmond, died on Friday, September, 11, 2015. He was born March 26, 1934 in Richmond, VA, son of the late Paul and Mary Bacas Dracos. In addition to his parents John was preceded in death by his two sisters, Angie Stathakis and Cassie Dracos, both of Charlotte, NC.  Surviving is his wife of 54 years, Ellie; three sons, Paul, John (Kathleen); James; two grandsons Conner and Sam; and numerous nieces and nephews. John was a graduate of Thomas Jefferson High School and attended the University of Richmond.  He served in the U.S. Army and its Reserves for several years during the 1950’s. Following his military service, he was a business owner, realtor and past Master Mason of Metropolitan Lodge No. 11 in Richmond. A celebration of his life including Masonic rites will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, September 18, 2015 at Bristow-Faulkner Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Saluda. Following the service, the family will receive friends for a brief time at the funeral home.  In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the charity of your choice.
