John Moore

John M. “Buddy” Moore, 87, of Stormont VA passed away on January 3, 2018. After serving his country in the Army, he began a career with the General Electric Company. Following his retirement from GE, he formed Estate Assurance Systems Incorporated and served as president since its inception in 1982. He was involved in numerous civic and charitable organizations in the local community including sponsoring several youth league teams and was a founding member of the Middlesex Sports Complex. While serving as Chairman of the school board and after, Buddy was instrumental in raising funds and obtaining grants to build Middlesex Elementary School. Buddy was also Past Master of Urbanna Masonic Lodge #83 AF&AM where he was a member for 56 years. He is predeceased by his son, Matthew. He is survived by his wife, Mary “Jackie”, son John, daughter in law Andrea, granddaughters Emily and Anna, daughter in law Amanda. The Moore Family had a private service on Pleasant View Farm.
