John Price

On June 8, 2016, John W. (Tommy) Price, “Papa Tom,” 84, of Richmond, passed peacefully surrounded by his loving family and went to be with the Lord. He was born on November 13, 1931. He is survived by his children, Debbie K. Price, Kimberly P. Burch, John C. Price and Steve M. Price; grandchildren, Casey, Jordan, Lauren, Brittany, Kayla, Tonya, Shannon, Johnny, Stephanie, Skyler and Chesney; and 17 great-grandkids. He is also survived by his true love in life, Joan Price Ison. Family members will receive friends at Tommy’s Celebration of his Life at 157 Sturgeon Point Loop, Deltaville, VA 23043 on Sunday, July 3, at 2 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family is asking that all donations be made to his granddaughter’s charity, Calling All Souls (CAS), which provides relief and restoration to homeless veterans and families in need throughout Virginia. Our Dad was an awesome father, husband, grandfather, boat racer, pilot and the only child to his parents, John H. Price and Norfleet Price. He was an avid storyteller and we will miss many stories he shared with us and his friends about his flying and hydroplane boat racing days on Urbanna Creek. He will be greatly missed but we all know he will be looking over us. Love ya Dad! See you again one day—His Children.
