John Timothy “Tim” Sadler, 61, of Cobbs Creek, went to be with the Lord on Friday, August 9, 2019. Tim was a most devoted man of godly character and integrity, and a most loving and selfless husband, father, and grandfather. An ordained minister and a missionary, he had a heart for mission work in India. He was a faithful servant at Living Waters Church and held several positions including bible teacher, usher, greeter, and elder under the leadership of Bishop John Cahill, Pastor Wayne Daniels, and Pastor David Hinsen.
Born and raised in Mathews County, Tim was the son of Hayes and Helen Sadler. He graduated from Mathews County Public Schools in 1977, received his bachelor’s degree in accounting from Christopher Newport University, and his master’s degree from Regent University. Tim worked as an employee of the Commonwealth of Virginia for more than 20 years and for the last several years, he was an audit manager.
He is survived by his loving wife of almost 25 years Jeanice; children Joshua, Micaela, Mickenzie, Caleb, David (Gail), and Dawn (Frankie); and grandchildren Chad, Skylar, and Chase. The viewing will be Monday, August 12, 2019 from 6pm to 8pm at Foster-Faulkner Funeral Home, Mathews, and a memorial service will be held on Tuesday, August 13, 2019 at 11am at Living Waters Church.
