John Benjamin Swartwout III, Manager for Stingray Point Marina in Deltaville for the past 9 years died December 24, 2012 after a short battle with illness. He is survived by his wife of 16 years, Sharon; one son, Sam Elias and one sister, Sue Brown Swartwout. Prior to Marine Management, he was a Sales Executive for Miller Mfg. for 22 years. He owned two restaurants during the seventy’s and eighty’s, Brandermill and Trader Joe’s. He was a member of DKE fraternity at Virginia Tech. He loved golf and fishing on the Bay. He was a member of Piankatank River Golf Club and St. James Episcopal in Richmond. A Memorial Service will be held at a later date. Arrangements by Bristow-Faulkner Funeral Home& Cremation Services, Saluda.
