John Wager

John Anthony Wager, 74, of Water View, peacefully passed away June 23, 2015 at his home.  Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Linda; children, Nancy Wren, Jonelle Boyd (Marty), John Wager, Jr. and Jean Gerhard (Charles); grandchildren, Amy Wren, Jessica Kirby (Justin), Jeri Marshall, Jaime Marshall, Aaron Wren, Lindsey Gerhard, Stephanie Gerhard; great grandchildren, Isaiah Burse, Matthew Hart, Phillip Hart, Kellese Burse, Dorian Walker and Broderick Kirby; mother, Nancy Brunelle and a sister Nancy Cox.  John was preceded in death by his wife Mardelle Wager, father, Thomas Wager, stepfather Raymond Brunelle and a brother Thomas Wager, Jr.  John always remained devoted to his family and retired from the career of his dreams with the FAA as an Aviation Maintenance Inspector.  His love of fishing and the open water led him to become a USCG licensed Captain.  An intimate celebration of John’s life was held on June 26, 2015.  Arrangements by Bristow-Faulkner Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Saluda.
