Joseph Glenn Coberly Sr., 82, from Topping passed away September 29 at Commonwealth Senior Living in Kilmarnock. Joe was born in West Virginia, Dec. 29, 1939, but lived most of his life in Virginia. He was a hard worker, a plumbing and heating mechanic, a drywall contractor and an auto restorer. Because of his love for motorcycles and Chevys, he was sometimes known as "Bow Tie Joe." Joe especially enjoyed his trips to Peru, Chile, Belize and Philippines to repair water systems for Wycliffe and YWAM mission centers.
Joe was predeceased by every member of his family of origin, 11 siblings and his parents, Jesse and Tressie Coberly.
He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Shirley Brunk Coberly, his son Joseph Glenn Coberly Jr. Grandchildren: Joseph III (Joey) and wife April, Haleigh and Cody. Great grandchildren: Joseph IV, Lilliana, Waylon, Angel, and Dominic.
There will be no funeral or memorial service. We request that each of you remember Joe in your own way.
