Joseph Forrest

Joseph Lee “Joe” Forrest, Jr. 74, of Lanexa, Virginia passed away on Thursday, July 2, 2020. He was a member of the Gwynn’s Island Church of the Nazarene, Hudgins, Virginia. He was a self-employed contractor and also worked for the Virginia Department of Transportation.

Joe was predeceased by his parents, Joseph L. Forrest, Sr. and Evelyn C. Forrest and a brother-in-law Phil Wetterling. He is survived by his wife Lynda Forrest; a daughter Robyn Forrest-Mason; a son Jason Scott Forrest; two step-daughters Sherry Rainier, and Amy Creech; two sisters, Lydia Wetterling and Betty Edwards and her husband Bill; three nieces and multiple grandchildren.

Services will be private. Memorial donations may be made to Gwynn’s Island Church of the Nazarene Building Fund, P. O. Box 246, Hudgins, Virginia 23076. Faulkner Funeral Homes, Foster-Faulkner Chapel, Mathews, Virginia is assisting the family.
