Joyce Hernandez, age 68, passed away Friday, May 31, 2013 at her residence.
She was preceded in death by her sister, Louise Ashburn.
She is survived by her husband, R. C. Hernandez; one daughter, Susan Hernandez ( Tab Warwick) of Grimstead; a granddaughter, Julie Hallberg (Andrew) of Midlothian; great-grandsons Nathan, Nicholas, and Christopher Hallberg; one sister, Betty Jean Brown (Michael) of Port Haywood; brother-in-law, Harold Ashburn and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and very dear friends.
The family will receive friends Tuesday, June 4, 2013 from 12 – 2 pm in Gwynn's Island Baptist Church. A Memorial Service will follow at 2 pm. Memorials may be made in Joyce's memory to the Mathews Volunteer Rescue Squad, P.O. Box 723, Mathews, Va 23109 or to Gwynn's Island Baptist Church, P.O. Box 26, Gwynn, Va 23066. Foster- Faulkner Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Mathews, Virginia is in charge of the arrangements.
