Joyce H. Hudgins, 86, of Mathews, VA passed away on Monday, May 7, 2018 at Riverside-Mathews Convalescent Center. She was a dedicated homemaker, devoted wife and a loving mother and grandmother. Joyce was a member of Peniel-Friends Church, Onemo, VA.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Charlie and Gladys Hutson; and a son, W. Steve Hudgins. She is survived by her husband of 70 years, William C. Hudgins; 2 children, Charles Hudgins (Carol) and Allen Hudgins (Connie); 2 grandchildren, Angela Mathiason and Steve Hudgins; 4 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Virginia Tatum of Arizona.
A Memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 12, 2018 at 2:00pm at Peniel Friends Church. The family will receive friends 1 hour prior to the service at the church.
The family would like to thank the staff at Mathews Convalescent Center for their loving care. Faulkner Funeral Homes, Foster-Faulkner Chapel, Mathews, VA is assisting the family with the arrangements.
