Katherine Marie Batley

Katherine Marie (Harrow) Batley, 86, born to Annie (Burruss) Harrow and Earl Harrow, died peacefully on February 17, 2020. She is predeceased by her wonderful husband, Peter David Batley; her parents; and a sister, Charlotte.

Marie (also known as Kitty) graduated from Middlesex High School and was a lifelong member of Zoar Baptist Church. She is survived by her large and loving family whom she devoted her life to, including four children: Susan (Bill), Donald (Laurie Ann), Peter Kevin (Trisha) and Diane (Tim), as well as seven grandchildren (Jennifer, Andrew, Sarah, Claire, Trevor, Levi and Otto), a great grandson (Avyan), five siblings: Bernard (Loretta), Eleanor (Wade), Earline (Charles), Charles (Loretta) and Carolyn, her uncle John and many cousins, nieces, nephews and extended family members spread out across the country as well as many who remain in Deltaville and in nearby communities.

A service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, February 22 at Zoar Baptist Church in Deltaville, VA. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Interment will be in Philippi Memorial Gardens.
