Kenneth Wayne Hammond, 55, of Tappahannock passed away Wednesday, May 27, 2020. He was a life-long member of the Tappahannock Volunteer Fire Department, and a former member of the Tappahannock Volunteer Rescue Squad. He was also a member of Beale Memorial Baptist Church, and the Tappahannock Moose Lodge.
He is survived by his children, Austin and Brittany Hammond; his brother, Eddie Hammond (Lynnette); sister, Dorothy Rutledge (Mike); and multiple other family members.
A graveside service will be held at Essex Cemetery, on Sunday, June 7th, at 3:00 p.m. Current state-mandated restrictions will be applied, including appropriate face coverings. The staff will give instructions upon arrival to those who attend. Faulkner Funeral Homes, Marks-Bristow Chapel will be assisting the family with arrangements.
