Kenneth R. Sabin, 52, of Topping, after a long battle on March 16, 2016 passed peacefully with his family by his side. A graduate of Gloucester High School, he continued on to the Marines where he was a helicopter mechanic. After his discharge, he was known as The Breeze because of how much he enjoyed traveling the United States. He obtained his love for traveling after being stationed in Japan. He landed in Utah where he met his wife. Together they raised five children.
He is survived by his wife Cathy Sabin, 4 step children Chad Beebe, Christina Beebe (Tony), Joshua Beebe (Cait), Cody Beebe (Amber), and his son Geoffrey Sabin. He is also survived by eight wonderful grandchildren Keandre, Amber, Devin, Jordan, Aubrey, Jameson, Arabella, and Peyton.
Before his illness, he was employed with Urbanna Builders as an insulator. Ken will be dearly missed by his family. He enjoyed time with family, golfing, watching Nascar, and was an avid sports fan. He loved his family immensely and was always a peace maker. His greatest joy was his grandchildren, he smiled the most with one of them in his arms. As they grew older, he continued to enjoy them more.
A memorial service will be held Thursday, March 24th, 2016 at 3:00 P.M. at New Hope Memorial Baptist Church, 15603 New Hope Road, Shacklefords, VA. The family would greatly appreciate donations to help with funeral expenses.
