Larry Johnson

Larry G. Johnson, age 72, of Jamaica passed away on Thursday, December 10, 2015. He retired from the U.S. Coast Guard with twenty-two years of service and also retired from Riverside Tappahannock Hospital as the Director of Nutritional Services. Larry was a member of the Chief Petty Officers Association and the Dietary Managers Association. He was predeceased by his father, Joe Gordon Johnson. Survived by his wife, Suzanne S. Johnson; mother, Edith Johnson; children, Donna Lynn Neal (Jim), Scott Gordon Johnson (Tammy), Beth Permelia (John), Paul Germain and Stephanie Steidel; a sister Linda Collins. Larry was a very special Papa to his five grandchildren and 3 ½ great grandchildren and was also survived by his dog Mitzy. He was also an avid fisherman and loved a good card game. There will be a celebration of Larry’s life on Saturday, December 12th from 6 until 8 p.m. at Bristow-Faulkner Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Saluda.
