Laura Lyons

Laura Russo Lyons, 97, of Foster, Virginia, beloved mother and grandmother, passed away on Thursday, February 17, 2022. A retired secretary born in New York, she also made homes in Delaware and Missouri. In her golden years she was an avid reader, lover of crafts, loved to cook, and often engaged in card and board games with her family.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Victor R. Lyons; and six brothers and sisters.

She is survived by her daughter, Karen Perkins (Dwayne); son, Kenneth Lyons (Micki); grandchildren, Kevin Strange, Lisa Rusnak, Melissa Gracyalny, Heather Fulmines, Jessica Kennedy, and Travis Perkins; eight great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, March 1, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. at Faulkner Funeral Homes, Foster-Faulkner Chapel, Mathews, Virginia. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made in Laura’s memory to St. Jude Research Center, P.O. Box 1000, Dept. 142, Memphis, TN 38148-0142.
