Laurence William "Larry" Harris

Laurence “Larry” Harris, 88, of Topping, Virginia and Sumter, South Carolina, passed away peacefully on Friday, March 22, 2024, surrounded by family. Larry proudly served in the United States Air Force for 30 years and retired as Chief Master Sergeant.  Mr. Harris was a 1954 Graduate of Bellows Free Academy in St. Albans, Vermont. Larry completed his Associates of Applied Science in 1981, at the Community College of the Air Force. He enjoyed traveling and everything that had to do with cars and trucks. Larry was also a proud member of the Air Force Photo Mapping Association.

He is survived by his two sons, Dale Harris (Terry), David Harris (Candy); 9 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; sister, Irma Wade; and his loving caregiver and special friend, Charlette Redmond.

Laurence is preceded in death by his parents, William “Morace” and Gladys Harris; his companion, Cledith Hawkins; his son, Steven Harris, and daughter, Laurencia Kay Harris.
