Lavinia Taylor Ruark, of Deltaville, age 95, passed away early Sunday Morning, November 30, 2014. She was preceded in death by her parents Irving and Mary Taylor (Founders of Taylor’s Restaurant, Deltaville). She was preceded in death by her husband Eugene H. Ruark. She is survived by her son Gene A. Ruark of Deltaville and by sister and brother-in-law Alvine and Norton Hurd and her brother and sister-in-law Norman (Dick) and Pat Taylor of Richmond. She is survived by her nieces and nephews: Myra Wall and her husband Chuck; Jan Taylor and her children; Jack & Denise Hurd and children; Michael and Beth Hurd and their children; nephew, Gregg Mann; and niece, Becky Haynes, of Chicago. She lived a long and wonderful life at Fishing Bay, traveling, reading, socializing with many friends and shopping and shopping and shopping. She was well known for dressing well. Many stores and shops will miss her. She was a former member of the Middlesex Woman’s Club and later years enjoyed her membership in the Red Hat Society. The viewing will be at Clarksbury United Methodist Church in Deltaville at 1:00 PM Tuesday, December 2nd with service at 2:00 PM. Interment Zoar Baptist Church Cemetery.
