Lawrence Payseure

Lawrence A. “Larry” Payseure, 94, of Tappahannock, passed away on Thursday, July 19, 2018. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife Ruby. He is survived by two sons, Barney Payseure (Brenda) and Rodney Payseure and grandchildren, Ashley and Henry Payseure. Larry was born and raised in the southside of Richmond. He served in the Army Air Force during World War II, primarily in the Philippines and Japan. Most of his career was with the C&O and B&O Railroads in communications engineering. He was a fisherman, hunter, jack of all trades, craftsman and a tinkerer. His happiest times were spent with Ruby and family at their summer home on the Rappahannock River.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m., Friday, July 27th at Beale Memorial Baptist Church with a reception to follow immediately after in the social hall. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. in Providence Baptist Church Cemetery, Heathsville. The family will receive friends from 5-7:00 p.m., Thursday, at Faulkner Funeral Homes, Marks-Bristow Chapel, Tappahannock.
