Leonard "Scott" Downs of Mathews, Virginia passed away on Thursday, December 26, 2013 at Medical College of Virginia in Richmond, Virginia.
He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Leonard A. Downs, Sr. and Horace Phillips. Left to cherish his memory is his parents, Leonard and Debi Downs of Diggs, Virginia; two sons, Hayden Downs of Moon, Virginia and Tristan Downs of Gwynn, Virginia; grandmothers, Joyce Downs of Moon, Virginia and Elizabeth Phillips of Cobbs Creek, Virginia; a special friend, Michele Smith of White Stone, Virginia; a host of aunts, uncles,cousins, and friends who will miss him greatly.
The family will receive friends from 7 9- pm, Sunday, December 29, 2013 at Foster-Faulkner Funeral Home, Mathews, Virginia. A Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 pm on Monday, December 30, 2013 in the Funeral Home Chapel, with burial to follow at H.C. Smither Memorial Cemetery, Hudgins, Virginia. In lieu of flowers, the family request donations, for his boys, to be made in Scott's memory to the Leonard Scott Downs Donation Fund, P.O. Box 1078, Mathews, Virginia 23109
