Leroy Millard "LM" Carlton Jr

Leroy Millard “LM” Carlton, Jr., age 92, of Urbanna passed away on August 14, 2024, after a short illness.

LM was preceded in death by his wife Marta, his mother Oleathia Heath Carlton, his father Leroy Millard Carlton Sr. and a brother, Albert Heath “Colonel” Carlton. 

He is survived by many cousins. LM was a graduate of Christchurch School and attended the University of Virginia. He served his country in the United States Army. LM retired from the Washington D.C. area as a computer programmer to his childhood home in Urbanna. He loved to sit on his front porch overlooking Heath’s Cove and talk about family history, automobiles and airplanes.

 A  service to celebrate LM's life will be held at 11 A.M. on Friday, September 6, 2024 at Urbanna Baptist Church, 121 Watling Street, Urbanna VA 23175. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Urbanna Baptist Church, P.O. Box 416 Urbanna, VA 23175.
