Lois S. Soles, 84, passed Monday, January 4, 2021 at the Gardens of Warwick Forest. She was born on May 6, 1936 in Mathews, Virginia.
She was preceded in death by her parents Edwin and Virdie Smith and her husband, Jack W. Soles, Sr. She is survived by her children, Susan Rowe (David), Jack Soles, Jr. (Susan), Becky Wroten, Jeffery Soles, Steven Soles, Kevin Soles, Jimmy Soles and Angie Haynes; grandchildren, Courtney, Casey (James Michael), Andrew (Mary Margaret), Jen (Cam), Jay, Beth, Allie, Steven Jr., Alice, Diana, Bobby and Austin; great-grandchildren, Nathan and Mackenzie, Jayla, Paul, Loreli, Uriah, Mario, Brandon, Kaitlyn, Finlay, Kylie, Kynson, and Cameron, and her beloved sister-in-law, Rose Hudgins.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, January 8, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at Spring Hill Baptist Church Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Mathews Volunteer Fire Dept. P.O. Box 1130, Mathews, Virginia 23109 or to the Mathews Volunteer Rescue Squad 94 Cricket Hill Road, Hudgins, Virginia 23076. Faulkner Funeral Homes, Foster-Faulkner Chapel, Mathews, Virginia is assisting the family. Please be advised that current state-mandated guidelines will apply to all in attendance, including social distancing and appropriate face coverings.
