Lois L. White, 98, of Mobjack, Virginia passed away on Friday, February 26, 2021 into the arms of her Heavenly Father and reunited with her beloved husband, Elwood Winder White and beloved son, Arthur Rawland White. Lois was born in Hampton, Virginia on August 24, 1922 to Grover Cleveland and Virgie Lee White. She graduated from Mathews High School in 1941. She spent her whole life being a loving wife, homemaker, caring mother and grandmother. Her family called her Diabia. She loved gardening, sewing, making afghans, cooking and canning in her younger days.
She is preceded in death by her parents, husband; her son; her brothers, Floyd and Paul White; her sisters, Pearl Diggs and Virginia Morris and a special nephew, Bud White.
She is survived by her grandchildren, Chris White and wife Bonnie, Artie White and wife Misty, Ann Alverson and husband Derek and Jarrod White and his wife Ryan; daughter-in-law, Mary Ann Delrosso and husband Carl; great-grandchildren, Casey VanZanten and husband Ryan, Nikki White and wife Madalyn, Brandon White, Mackenzie and Tara White, Childress Alverson and Ethan White; great great-grandchildren, Bella, Campbell, and Mila VanZanten; and special friends Patty and Gerry White. She will be greatly missed by all.
A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 2, 2021 at Providence Cemetery, Cardinal, Virginia. Faulkner Funeral Homes, Foster-Faulkner Chapel, Mathews, Virginia is assisting the family. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Meals on Wheels, c/o Nelda Gibbs, P.O.
