Lorena Yarrington

Lorena Harrow Yarrington, age 88, of Locust Hill, passed away on Sunday, January 6, 2013. Lorena worked in her fathers store with her two sisters and completed business school. She worked as a telephone operator at the VA, was a bookkeeper and a store manager for Norview Marina. She was also a foster mother to a number of abused children. She transported cancer patients for treatment, was a bus driver, trainer, substitute teacher and was on the board for three private schools. She was a wonderful wife, mother and friend.  She was preceded in death by her husband, James “Bill” E. Yarrington, Sr.  She is survived by her sons, Lambert “L.T.” Yarrington, Sr. and James E. Yarrington, Jr.; a daughter, Sandra Brenson; grandchildren, Gerald, Nick, Grace, Lambert “Tyler” Yarrington, Jr. and James E. Yarrington III. Memorial services will be held 2PM, Sunday, January 13th at Bristow-Faulkner Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Saluda. The family would like to send a special thanks to the Gloucester House and the Lancashire for their love and support of their mother.
