Louise Shackelford Harrow, 89, of Deltaville, passed away on Friday, June 22, 2012.
Mrs. Harrow was born on August 29, 1922, in Urbanna, Va., the daughter of Joyce B. and William H. Shackelford. She was preceded in death by her husband of seventy years, Edmond Harrow, daughter Joyce Lee Harrow Stewart, grandson Nathan Edwards, two brothers, James and Thomas Shackelford, two sisters, Blanche S. Britton and Mary S. Jones. She is survived by daughter, Sally Harrow of Halliford, Va., son J. Edmond Harrow Jr and his wife Karen of Chesterfield, Va., six grandchildren, six great grandchildren, brother Rudolf Shackelford and his wife Barbara of Urbanna, and sister-in-law Ruby Shackelford of Urbanna. She was a devoted wife, deeply cherished mother, grandmother and great grandmother (“Nanny”), and sister.
The family will receive friends at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, June 27, 2012 at Philippi Christian Church in Deltaville with funeral services following at 2:00 p.m. Burial will follow at Philippi Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Philippi Christian Church, P.O. Box 555, Deltaville, VA., 23043. Arrangements by Bristow-Faulkner Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Saluda.
