Lucille Tyssen

Lucille Tyssen, 92, of Gwynn, VA passed away on Tuesday, September 12, 2017 at Riverside-Mathews Convalescent Center. Lucille was a longtime charter member of the Williamsburg Moose Lodge and an avid bowler for many years at which she won many trophies. She loved skiing, camping, fishing, dancing and cats which she called her "babies". She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother and a sister; her late husband and her son Wendell "Wendy" Hugate. She is survived by her sons, Ronnie Hugate and wife Sheryl, Mark Majette and wife Kathy; brother, Carl N. Callis; 8 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren and a longtime companion and special friend "Beanie" Sweeney. The family will receive friends on Friday, September 15, 2017 from 10 – 11am at Faulkner Funeral Homes, Foster-Faulkner Chapel, Mathews, VA with a funeral service at 11:00 am in the funeral home Chapel. Burial will follow at Gwynn's Island Cemetery. The family would like to say a special thank you to the staff and volunteers at Riverside-Mathews Convalescent Center for taking care of Lucille.
