Mae Fitzgerald

Mae Belle Brewer Fitzgerald, 91, died March 30, 2017 at Riverside Walter Reed Hospital in Gloucester, VA. She was born July 11, 1925 in Forsyth County, NC to the late Dewey Clynon and Lu Ella Lashmit Brewer. Mae Belle was a member of the Clarksbury United Methodist Church. She had been residing at Riverside Convalescent Center in Mathews, VA. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Robert E. Fitzgerald, her brother D.C. Brewer Jr. and sister Doris Daniels. Survivors include one brother Robert Brewer (Joanne) of Maryland; three children, James B. Fitzgerald (Martha) of Deltaville, VA, Cathy Fulp (Trey) of Mission, TX and Patricia Martin. There are five grandchildren; James Fitzgerald, Jr. (Ginger) of Northern, VA, Jennifer Irvin of McAllen, TX, Laura Ross-Murphy (Mac) of Dallas, TX, and Jeremy Martin and Amy Martin. There are seven great grandchildren; Quinn and Catherine Fitzgerald, Hunter Irvin of Mt. Vernon, IN, Joseph Irvin of McAllen, TX, Sammie, Cormac, and Neko Ross-Murphy of Dallas, TX. A memorial service will be held at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, April 26, 2017 at Bristow-Faulkner Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Saluda.
