Margaret Frazier

Mrs. Margaret Simon Frazier, 97, of Tappahannock passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 15, 2019. Mrs. Frazier was a native of Essex County. She was a graduate of Mary Washington College and taught in the King William County and Chesterfield County school systems. She was a member of the Tappahannock Memorial United Methodist Church, The United Methodist Women and was the Vice President of the U. M.W. for many years. She was secretary of the Administrative Board for many years and a teacher of the Mary Ellen Day Sunday School Class. She was a long time member of the Retired Senior Volunteer Program. Mrs. Frazier was preceded in death by her husband, Wesley J. Frazier, Sr.

She is survived by her two sons, Wesley J. Frazier and James M. Frazier both of Tappahannock; one granddaughter, Jaime Michelle Gomes; two grandsons, James Michael Frazier, Jr. and Brian Joseph Frazier; five great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, January 19, 2019 in Essex Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until service time Saturday at Faulkner Funeral Home, Marks-Bristow Chapel, Tappahannock. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorials be made to the Tappahannock Memorial United Methodist Church Building Fund, P O Box 326, Tappahannock, VA 22560.
