Margaret Johnson Crittenden, 99, of Dunnsville, Virginia, passed away on Thursday, September 5, 2024. She was a lifelong Lutheran, and a charter member of and active in multiple churches.
She was a Fairfax County P.D. School Crossing Guard, Girl Scout Troop Leader, Youth Camp Director, and H & R Block Executive Tax Service Preparer, among other interests and activities that she enjoyed.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Wallace E. Johnson Sr., and her second husband, David Crittenden; her parents, Herbert and Gladys Partridge Stake; her brothers, Edward Stake, John Stake, and Ronald Stake; and her sister, Gail Stake.
She is survived by her daughter, Gayle E. LaMar (Darrel); son, Wallace E. “Butch” Johnson, Jr. (Faye); grandchildren, Eric-Paul Bomgren, Jason E. Bomgren, Lynn Ann Sowers, and Ryan Wainwright; her brother, Richard Stake; several nieces and nephews, great-grandchildren, and her step-children, Laura, Don, Dean, and Lynn.
A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, September 10th, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. at Faulkner Funeral Homes, Marks-Bristow Chapel, Tappahannock. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Interment will follow in Essex Cemetery, Tappahannock.
