Margaret Sisson

Margaret Crawford Crute Sisson, having served in the Church Militant is now in the Church Triumphant Sunday, February 19, 2012. Margaret was a loving and beloved partner to Richard B. Sisson in fifty years of ministry. She was a leader in the United Methodist Women, loving mother, grandmother, sister and aunt, secretary, and licensed practical nurse. She was born October 15, 1937.

She leaves behind her husband; daughter, Kathryn Martin and son-in-law, Howard Martin, granddaughters, Kelsey and Lindsey Purvis; son, Lee Sisson and daughter-in-law, Lauren Sisson, grandsons, Kevin and Brian Sisson; sister, Barbara Johnson Weiss; brother, William H. Crute, sisters-in-law, Myrtle S. Johnson and Rosemary S. Tacy, brother-in-law, Gerald L. Sisson, and many nieces, nephews, grand nieces, grand nephews, cousins, and dear friend, Ruth Wilder.

She Graduated from Hampton High School in 1956, and worked at Langley Laboratory NACA-NASA, Air Force Accounting and Finance Center, CONARC, Bedford Hospital, and Dinwiddie Public Schools.

She traveled with mission teams to India, Russia, Costa Rica, Belize, Cuba and Mozambique and enjoyed cruising and playing cards with her family.

Visitation will be 6-8:00 PM Wednesday February 22nd at Bristow-Faulkner Funeral Home in Saluda and funeral service Thursday February 23rd 11:00am at Clarksbury United Methodist Church in Deltaville

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Memorial Fund of Clarksbury United Methodist Church, P. O. Box 10 Hardyville, VA 23070.
