Maria Sutor

Maria Sutor, of Wake, VA passed away on Friday, December 6, 2013 after a long and courageous battle with cancer. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. Mrs. Sutor was born October 21, 1946 in Poland, immigrating to the United States as a teenager, living in New Jersey. She moved to Virginia upon retirement. She was active in the community having served with the Hartfield Volunteer Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary. Surviving is her husband, Stanley Sutor, of 47 years, two daughters, Joanne Broderick (Kevin) of South Plainfield, NJ and Krystyna Graulich (Richard) of Wake, VA; five grandchildren, Colleen, Jack, Bryan, Erik, and Connor; one brother, Janek Fik (Maryla) and a niece, Kathryn (Michael), a nephew, Thomas (Jacqueline), and her beloved dog Daisy, as well as a host of family and friends. Visitation will be held Monday, December 9th from 6 until 8PM at Bristow Faulkner Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Saluda, VA. A funeral mass will be held 10:00AM on Tuesday at Church of the Visitation, Topping, VA. Interment will be in the church cemetery.
