Marion Norman Bartlett Sr., 91 of Topping, Virginia, formerly of Richmond, Virginia died on Thursday, June 6, 2013 at his home. He was a meat cutter for many years at Ukrop's and Koslows' markets. He was a World War II Veteran and served in Burma and China during the war. He loved to bowl and was in many leagues in Richmond, then in Gloucester, Virginia. He was a Deacon Emeritus of Westville Baptist Church and loved his Lord.
He is survived by his wife of 19 years, Carolyn "Ginny" Bartlett, a son Gifford Leroy Bartlett, a granddaughter Nikki Bartlett, two stepsons Patrick and Bill Behl, five step grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife Myrtle Savage Bartlett, his second wife Grace Wingo Bartlett, a son Marion Norman Bartlett Jr., his parents and seven siblings.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, June 8, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. in Westville Baptist Church,
105 Main Street, Mathews, Virginia with visitation one hour before the service in the church fellowship hall. Burial will follow at Washington Memorial Park in Sandston, Virginia at 3:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers charitable donations may be made to a charity of your choice. Foster-Faulkner Funeral Home, Mathews, Virginia is in charge of the arrangements.
