Marjorie Carlton

Marjorie Hayes Carlton, 93, of Tappahannock, Virginia, passed away on Friday, October 23, 2020. Margie was a beautiful, laughter-loving, delightful person who adored her friends and family. She was blessed with plenty of both. She never met a stranger and always thought the best of everyone. She attended Beale Memorial Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph A. Carlton; her granddaughter, Shannon Rose; three brothers, Franklin, Ober and Floyd and two sisters, Irene and Emma Mae.

She is survived by her daughter, Cheryl W. Carlton; sister, Charlotte Caswell; brother, Leo Hayes; and two great grandchildren, Alex and Brekken.

The family will receive friends at Faulkner Funeral Homes, Marks-Bristow Chapel, Tappahannock, on Tuesday, October 27, 2020 from 12-1:00. A funeral service will follow at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Essex Cemetery, Tappahannock. Please be advised that current state guidelines will apply to all in attendance, including social distancing and appropriate face covering.
