Suzy Jones, 79 of Bohannon in Mathews County, Virginia, dedicated U.S. Army spouse, loving wife, mother, grandma, great grandma and friend to everyone passed away on Monday, February 17, 2020.
She was born in Ft. Sill, Oklahoma and received her B.A. in English from Florida State University. She was a former Virginia State PEO President and was dedicated to the PEO Sisterhood and its values. She was a member of Kingston Parish where she served on the altar guild, vestry and as a children’s Sunday school teacher. She also volunteered for numerous organizations.
Cherishing her memory are her loving husband, Richard; son, Rick Jones; daughter, Caroline Webster (Chuck); son, Daniel Jones (Gretchen); grandchildren, Sam, Sarah, Jenn, Nick, Jack, Cody, Will and Margo and great grandchildren, Killian and Shiloh.
Memorial services will be held 2:00 p.m., Saturday, February 22, 2020 at Kingston Parish where a reception will follow immediately after. Donations in her memory may be made to Kingston Parish, memo (Children’s Sunday School Class) P.O. 471, Mathews, Virginia, 23109. Faulkner Funeral Homes, Foster-Faulkner Chapel is assisting the family.
