Martha Ann Burroughs Ashberry, 79, of Port Haywood, Virginia passed away on Saturday, July 10, 2021.
Martha owned and operated “Martha Ann’s House of Flowers”, served as a manager for Wal-Mart in their crafts and floral department and also worked at Island Stop in Port Haywood.
She loved cooking and making wreaths but, most importantly, she loved her God and her family with her whole heart. Martha Ann was a giving, caring person who loved helping those in need.
She is predeceased by her parents, Lemuel and Ellen Burroughs.
She is survived by her husband of 63 years, John W. Ashberry, Sr.; her children, John W. (JJ) Ashberry, Jr. (Theresa), Renee Edwards (Neal), Kevin Ashberry (Tara), Teresa Thornton (Mike) and Michael Ewell (Susan); grandchildren, Wesley, Phillip (Jill), Brad (Blair), Courtney (Bubba), K.C., Kyle, Tori, Asher, Chloe, and Mindy; great-grandchildren, Aidan, Lilly, Hailey, and Blake; a brother, Henry Burroughs; a brother-in-law, Vernon Ashberry and many nieces, nephews, family and friends.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, July 14, 2021 from 6 – 8 p.m. at Faulkner Funeral Homes, Foster-Faulkner Chapel, Mathews, Virginia. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, July 15, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at Cornerstone Fellowship Church, Cobbs Creek, Virginia with burial to follow at St. Paul Annex, Susan, Virginia.
