Martha Hudgins

Martha Juanita Edwards Hudgins, 96, of Susan, VA passed away April 16, 2014 at her home with her family. She was born on September 25, 1917 to Emmett and Elizabeth Edwards at Gwynn, VA. She was preceded in death by her husband, George Calvin Hudgins, her brother, Robert Stewart Edwards and a step-sister, Pansy Miles.

Left to cherish her memory are her daughters, Peggy Leigh (Ben), Kathleen West (Ernest), Juanita Walker (William), a son, Robert C. Hudgins and daughter-in-law, Betty Hudgins. She had 9 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and 1 step- great, great grandchild.

She was a member of Beulah United Methodist Church. A Service to celebrate her life will be held on Friday, April 18, 2014 at 1:00 pm at Foster-Faulkner Funeral Home, Mathews, VA with burial to follow in St. Paul Cemetery, Susan, VA. The family will receive friends 1 hour prior to the service.
