Martha McClanahan

Martha Swoope McClanahan, 94, a native of Roanoke and long-time resident of Mathews County, passed away Monday, November 22, 2016.
She is preceded in death by her husband, William Elijah McClanahan, and son Robert McClanahan. Survivors include Heather McClanahan Choate and her husband, Dennis; Sharon McClanahan Setzer and her husband, Jay; David McClanahan and his wife, Jacqui; a niece, Jeannette Glasheen; six grandchildren; and one great-grandson.
The family will receive friends at Foster-Faulkner Funeral Home, Mathews, on Friday, November 25th, between 4:00 and 5:30 PM.
Funeral services will be conducted at Mathews Chapel United Methodist Church, Cobbs Creek, VA by the Rev. Lisa Blackmonson on Saturday, November 26 at 11:00 AM.
Memorial contributions may be made to Mathews Chapel Building Fund, Box 125, Cobbs Creek, VA 23035, or to a favorite charity.
Foster-Faulkner Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
