Mary Adams

Mary T. Adams of Hardyville, VA departed this life on May 23, 2015, age 89. She was preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, James C. Adams, Jr. She is survived by her son, James C. Adams, daughter-in-law Linda Cytrynowicz-Adams, her sister Andrea Adams, and grand-daughters Halina and Alissa Adams. Mary was born in Chicago, lived in Richmond several years and resided in Hardyville, VA since 1976. In her working life Mary was a secretary; first for the State of Virginia and later for Middlesex County. She was an avid gardener, active member of Philippi Christian Church in Deltaville and volunteer in her local community. After retirement she and her husband shared a craft woodworking business known by many in Virginia and the Carolinas. Her family wishes to thank all those who helped Mary in her later years, especially Ms. Rachel Simmons of Deltaville and the Bon Secours staff at Rappahannock General Hospital and Regional Memorial Hospital.

Funeral services will be held at 10 AM Wednesday, May 27, 2015 at Bristow-Faulkner Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Saluda with interment at 12:00 PM noon in Signal Hill Cemetery, Hanover County. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 PM on Tuesday at the Funeral Home.
