Mary Miller

Mary Ellen Rieck Miller, 91, of Irvington, formerly of Urbanna, went to be with the Lord on October 6, 2015.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Alvin H. Miller Sr., and son, Paul Robertson Miller.  She is survived by a son, Alvin H. Miller Jr.; two daughters-in-law, Alix Miller and Linda Miller; four grandchildren, Erin Miller, Matthias Miller, Heather Clarke, and Jason Freeman; and a sister, Carolyn Foster.  Mary Ellen and Al were married for 57 years and were longtime members of Christ Church Middlesex, where she sang in the choir for many years.  She also worked as a librarian at Christchurch School.  In addition to singing and reading, she also enjoyed playing the piano, bird watching, sitting on the porch, and cooking for her appreciative family. A celebration of life service will be held 1:00 p.m. Monday, October 12, at Christ Church Middlesex County, followed by interment in the church cemetery.  Memorial gifts may be made to the Chesapeake Bay Foundation, 6 Herndon Avenue, Annapolis, MD 21403.  Arrangements by Bristow-Faulkner
