Mary Williams

Mary Joann Davis Rainier Williams, 79, of Mathews passed away on Friday, December 9, 2016. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt and cousin. She loved her high school years where she was Homecoming and May Queen and a cheerleader. She worked as a waitress at Sutton's Restaurant for many years and was a member of Emmanuel United Methodist Church. She was predeceased by her mother and step-father Mary and Stanley Oliver; her father and step-mother Howard and Margaret Davis and her special nephew Richard Pritchett. Joann is survived by her children, Linda Odham, Robert Rainier, Jr., Lawrence Rainier and Cindy Smith (Lee); six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren, sister Barbara Vaughan (Ronnie), brother Bobby Davis (Barbara) as well as many loved nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Family received friends at Foster-Faulkner Funeral Home, Mathews on Sunday, Dec. 11th. A Funeral Service was held on Monday, Dec. 12th at Emmanuel UMC.
