Mildred Pope, 93, of Gloucester, originally from Brooklyn, NY died on, Sunday, October 2, 2016. She was preceded in death by her husband, W.R. Pope, her 3 brothers and 2 sisters. She is survived by her son, W.J. Pope of Brooklyn, NY; her daughter Elizabeth McClain (Leon) of Gloucester, VA; a loving sister-in-law Thelma Johnson of Florida; grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and a host of friends. The family thanks you for your prayers as we look forward to the fulfillment of Isaiah 25: 8, "He will swallow up death forever and the Sovereign Lord Jehovah will wipe away the tears from all faces."
